Instruction guide for linking Strava to RunnerMaps

Step 1: Login on RunnerMaps

To start you can go to the mail you received when you signed up. In that mail you can click the link for the distance you want to run. This will take you to the following page:

The first thing you have to do is login on RunnerMaps. You can do this by clicking on “Inloggen” or “Sign In” in the right top corner. If you already see your name there in means you are already logged in, in which case you can skip to step 2.

You have three options to login:

  1. Using Google
    a. This will log you in automatically or take you to a separate screen where you can login to google with you login information.
    b. Once this is done you should be logged in with your Google account. You can now go to step 2!
  2. Using Facebook
    a. This will log you in automatically or take you to a separate screen where you can login to Facebook with you login information.
  3. Using your email address
    a. Fill in your mail and you will receive a verification link in your inbox.
    b. Click the link in the mail, and you are logged in! Now you can continue to step 2!

Step 2: Link your Strava

Once you are logged into RunnerMaps it will take you to the race page. If you are not on the page of the distance you want to run you can click the link in the mail again. It will look like this:

To run the Erasmusronde you need to link a Strava account. Don’t have one yet? Making one is simple, you can do this by going to this page. When you have your Strava account you can click the connect button at the right bottom corner.

This will send you to a login page for Strava, or if you are already logged in, link you automatically. Now your Strava account is linked and you can go to the next step!

Note: Clicking on “Connect with Strava” doesn’t sign you up for the race yet! Make sure to complete step 3.

Step 3: Sign up for the right distance

Now you are logged into RunnerMaps and have connected your Strava. There is only thing to do before you are ready to go: signup up for the right distance.

Once Strava is connected you will be sent to the main page of RunnerMaps. However, this is not the right page to be at. Now you once more have to click on the right link for the distance you want to run:

Now you should see the following page:

Make sure on the top of the page you see “Erasmusronde – Run for mental health” and your distance. This makes sure you sign up to the right event! In the bar bellow the text you can click on “Participate” or “Deelnemen”.

Now you are all set up and ready for your race! Once your race is uploaded to Strava it will automatically send your results to RunnerMaps!
