Newsletter December

We hope that you are doing well and looking forward to the festive season. With this newsletter, we would like to bring you up to speed on some of the things that have happened over the last month and some of the things that are planned for next month!

Activities
On the 28th of November, we held the new member’s activity! It was a fun online escape room/scavenger hunt which challenged us all to think out of the box a bit. That same evening the pub quiz was held and after some fascinating questions that put everyone’s obscure knowledge to the test, team Qapitaal was crowned the champion!

The activities committee has been formed and is already working hard on planning the next activities, so keep an eye out for more details.

Race of the Month
The November race of the month was held on the 28th and 29th of November and members completed a 5km, 10km or 15km. It was great to see more people participating in the long-distance race and even a few new personal records were set!

The next race of the month will be held a bit earlier than usual due to the Christmas weekend. We will therefore hold it on the weekend of the 19th and 20th of December. The distances will be 5km, 10km and 21.1km. As usual, record your race on your watch or phone and email a screenshot to wedstrijden@eur-roadrunners.nl. If you have any questions, feel free to send them to the same email address.

Board announcements
The first GMA of the year was held virtually last month where the treasurer presented the financial report from last year and the budget for the upcoming year.

Training with groups of four people has also resumed again and therefore members can either run in their own groups or sign up with the form provided each week and be placed in a group with other members and occasionally a trainer.

Unfortunately, we can’t host a regular christmas dinner this year, keeping in mind the current rules. Therefore we decided to invest in a safe New Years drink/dinner!

As usual, we hope that the situation gets better soon, but we would really like to thank everyone for being so understanding and for joining us for the fun online events!

Save the date – New Years drink
Please save the evening of the 8th of January in your agenda for the New Years drink/dinner! Considering the current measurements, this will be partial online and offline. You can meet up in groups of three. We will bring a drink/dinner package to you, so you can host your own drink at home! All the groups can join an online meeting, where we will do fun online games together. The link to sign up will follow soon! We hope to see you there!

Kind regards,

The board
Dylan, Robin, Ruben and Marit
