Newsletter January

We hope that you have enjoyed the festive season and are feeling refreshed and ready to tackle 2021! The Netherlands is still in lock down, but there are still some exciting things going on at the Roadrunners. With this first newsletter of 2021, we hope to get you excited for the new year of running ahead.

Committees News
The activities committee has planned an online games night that promises to be a fun virtual night for members. Today is the last day to register, so don’t miss the opportunity! The website committee is also hard at work designing the new site, so keep an eye out for the new online home of the Roadrunners

Race News
The Race of the Month for December went well, and the race results are available on the website! The next Race of the Month will happen on the weekend of the 30th and 31st of January. As usual, you can complete the race on both days. Don’t forget to email your results to wedstrijden@eur-roadrunners.nl

Virtual Race!
Erasmus Sport is organizing a virtual 5km and 10km race on the 14th – 17th of January. As an association, we have a chance to win! Proceeds raised by Roadrunners members will go back to the association, and the race will also raise money for charity. You can register for €2.50 at https://proreg.entrysystem.live/nl/?id=tCA0e23tC06EGmHofYzTVQ

We also want to give a clarification on the rules regarding virtual races. So long as the race publishes official results, it can be counted. Members can add races that they have completed and we will regularly check the results.  Because this year it is easier to exploit the race rankings, we also ask that all Roadrunners respect the spirit of the race rankings.
