We hope you are all doing well! A lot happened in the last month and we have a lot coming up. So in this letter we want to give a quick overview with all the important stuff that has been going on.
Trainings are back!
It almost felt unnatural to train in such a big group again, but trainings are back in their full glory! It has been amazing seeing everyone back and it feels good to get out of the house and see other people at the training. Since the curfew is extended bij an hour, we would like to remind that we will start the training at the usual time (18.45) again. We hope to see you all back soon!
On 20 and 21 March 2021 a total of 152 people ran the Erasmusronde and together succesfully raised a grand total of €2518 to donate to 113 suicide prevention! It was amazing to see the amount of Roadrunners that participated in the race, and we managed to get a member into the top 3 on all distances for both women and men! We would like to thank each and every person who donated and made this possible. It has been truly amazing to see everyone come together around this cause and honour Eva, and we could never have dreamed of such an amazing result!
We’re very happy to be able to train together again! With the events committee we have some activities planned combined with trainings! The first one will be April 7, when we will have a dice game training! We will announce the later training activities later on! Make sure to be there at this fun trainings!
The last race of the month was held using runnermaps, and it was a great success! The results are already online, and the medals will be handed out soon. The next race of the month will also be held using runner maps, and the links to register will be sent a week in advance. The distances will be 5km, 10km and 15km. The date has been pushed back a week because of the batavieren race, and the race of the month for April will be held on the 1st and 2nd of May.
As the weather warms up, there are also many other fun virtual races being organized beside our races of the month. Some of these runs are on the calendar on the website, however I encourage everyone to find events they would like to join! If the (virtual)race publishes official results, you can then submit your results on the site after participating!
The CPC Loop Den Haag has also opened up entries with the idea of going ahead in late September. The race offers a 5km, 10km and 21,1km and If you would like to subscribe, you can still receive the early bird discount before the end of April!
We’re looking for the next board.
It feels like yesterday since we started our position in the board. However it is almost time to look for the next board! In the upcoming weeks we will send a separate mail with more information about the board positions. In the meanwhile you can already consider which position you would like to have next year! 😉
